The State Duma proposed crediting the pension of foreign agents to special accounts

To transfer pensions to foreign agents, you should create special accounts. Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin made such an initiative at the plenary session on October 29.

He drew attention to the fact that citizens recognized as foreign agents live abroad, work for foreign organizations and thereby undermine the interests of the country.

"What's going on? The man who betrayed the country, destroying it, walks around Paris and other European cities, and receives a pension from Russia...> It is necessary to transfer it to a special account," RIA Novosti quoted Volodin as saying.

The chairman of the State Duma instructed the relevant committee to study the proposals on new measures against foreign agents, and then introduce them as amendments to legislative documents.

On October 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on tougher liability for foreign agents for evading their duties. According to the document, now one administrative violation of the operating procedure by a foreign agent is sufficient for criminal liability.
