The most popular hybrid cars among Russians are named

Following the results of the first nine months of 2025, the Voyah Free crossover became the bestseller among plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) in Russia. This was reported on October 29 by the analytical agency Autostat.

In total, 4.2 thousand copies of Voyah Free were sold in Russia from January to September (-27% YoY). The top three were supplemented by two Lixiang models — L7 (3.9 thousand units -52%), and L6 (2.5 thousand units; an increase of 3.3 times). This is followed by Lixiang L9, Exeed Exlantix ET, Voyah Dream and Evolve i-Space. The top ten was rounded out by the Aito M5, BMW X5 and Wey 80.

The sales of the Evolve i-Space grew the best (by 9.9 times), while they fell the most at the Lixiang L9 (by 78%). It is noted that two newcomers to the market, Exeed Exlantix ET and Wey 80, made it to the top 10.

In just nine months, 23.7 thousand vehicles with PHEV power plants were sold in Russia, which is 20% less than in the same period last year. The market share of such vehicles was 2.6%.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Chinese premium cars have almost disappeared from alternative imports to the Russian Federation. In the first nine months of this year, the supply of new cars worth over 7 million rubles decreased by 40% in the alternative import segment, although it remains stable among the brands officially represented on the Russian market. If in the case of the latter, manufacturers from China account for the entire supply, then in terms of alternative imports, their share has fallen from 23% to 2% since the beginning of the year.
