Meteorologist predicted rains and sleet during the holidays

November 2025 in Moscow will be warmer than usual. According to nine long-term forecast models, the temperature in the capital will be 1-1.5 degrees above the climatic norm. The specialist noted that the probability of such a development is high. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on October 31.

As for precipitation, no significant downpours are predicted, but rain is expected at the end of October, especially on the 31st. Precipitation may turn into sleet and rain during the holidays, but so far long-term models show just such a picture. Light frosts are possible in mid-November, especially at night, which corresponds to the climatic norm for this time of year.

Pozdnyakova also added that a stable snow cover in November in Moscow is extremely unlikely — it may appear only in December. In addition, although atmospheric cyclones do not predict prolonged cold weather, short-term frosts are possible during the holidays. Some models indicate possible precipitation in the form of wet snow, which may also occur at the beginning of the month.
