- The cultural and educational event "Night of the Arts" will be held in Moscow on November 3.
The Moscow Department of Culture and the Moscow Directorate of Mass Events invite Muscovites and guests of the capital on November 3 to the 13th cultural and educational event "Night of the Arts". The evening and night will be filled with concerts, theatrical and poetic programs, master classes, lectures, quests and exhibitions that will take place at the central venues of the action and in unusual locations of the city.
This year, the central venues of the action will be: the Pushkin State Museum, the Pashkov House, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Akademiya Concert Hall and the River Palace double-deck liner.
"We are pleased to join the Night of the Arts federal action for the 13th time. The Night of the Arts occupies a special place among our citywide events, because it is only within its framework that museums, theaters, libraries, concert venues, and parks open their doors at night," said Alexei Fursin, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.
The Khodynka Gallery of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association will host an author's tour of the Book Course exhibition. It is based on watercolor works by artist Artyom Bezmenov, created during expeditions to the Far East. Many of these illustrations have been included in travel books, including those for the famous traveler Fyodor Konyukhov. Artyom Bezmenov will personally guide the guests through the exhibition, share stories from his trips and present illustrations for children's travel books. In addition to the original sketches, photographs and documentaries made during the expeditions can be seen at the exhibition.
On the tour "Tiflis — Tbilisi — Moscow" at the Zurab Tsereteli Museum-Workshop, they will tell about the historical connection between the two capitals and the ancient Georgian settlement, traces of which are preserved in the street names and the Church of St. George— the spiritual center of the Georgian diaspora. Visitors will learn about the role of Moscow and Tbilisi in the fate of the artist, stroll through the streets of old Tbilisi, see enamel panels, paintings and sculpture models. Participation is free upon registration, admission is by ticket to the museum.
The exhibition "Warhammer: from Heresy to Laughter" will combine fiction and irony, presenting art works inspired by the Warhammer 40,000 universe in a light and meme format. Colorful art with references to popular memes and Internet culture that combine the dark atmosphere of the universe with funny images. The exhibition will be of interest to both Warhammer 40,000 fans and fans of memes and contemporary art.
An evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the writer's birth will be held at the Museum of Moscow in memory of Yuri Trifonov. The meeting will include a lecture by literary critic Natalia Ivanova on "Yuri Trifonov's Moscow Text: Addresses Turned into Books" on the connection between the author's biography and work. Guests will also hear a theatrical reading from the story "The House on the Embankment". In the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, students of the Vishnevskaya Moscow Art Institute will present a concert "Letter to a Hero" in support of the participants of their educational program. The program will feature works by Russian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, classical poems and excerpts from letters written by children for soldiers at the front.
The screening of the film "You and I have met Somewhere" at the Taganka Gallery of the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association invites everyone to plunge into the atmosphere of Soviet cinema. The detailed program and dates of the events are published on the official website of the promotion.
