During the panel discussion, representatives of the industry and large businesses noted that after a period of rapid growth in recent years, the market is entering the trajectory of rational development. Construction companies are increasing their focus on cost management, improving efficiency and productivity.

Svetlana Filimonova, Head of the Construction and Repair business at Avito Services, stressed that today marginality directly depends on the manageability of processes, from pricing to the loading of teams.

"Companies that continue to operate by inertia lose both quality and profitability. At the same time, positive trends are noticeable in the market. The segments of construction services, interior decoration, landscaping and garden are growing," said Filimonova.

She added that there is now a transition from the DIY ("do it yourself") model to the DIFM ("do it with me") format. "More and more clients are entrusting the main part of the work to the performers, reserving control over key decisions. This trend supports demand and opens up new opportunities for contractors and private craftsmen," continued Filimonova.

Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of INFOLine Analytics, said that "young consumers are becoming economically active who prefer to trust professional repairs rather than do them themselves." "The key constraint for the market remains the shortage of craftsmen and workers, as well as an increase in the cost of services — by more than 70% over the past two years," the expert emphasized.

In addition, the market structure is changing. More and more buyers are choosing smaller apartments and properties with finished or pre-finished finishes.

Experts called the growth of individual housing construction, improvement of existing housing, renovation of private plots and adjacent territories the drivers of the construction and repair market in the medium term.
