A man was killed in a head-on accident involving a truck in western Sakhalin

A man was killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a passenger car in the Uglegorsky district of the Sakhalin Region. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Tuesday evening, October 28, on the 322nd km of the Nevelsk–Tomari– Shakhtersk Airport highway. It was previously established that the 50-year-old Toyota Allion driver drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Shacman truck.

As a result of the head-on collision, the driver of the car received various injuries, from which he died on the spot before the arrival of an ambulance, SakhalinMedia news agency writes. Judging by the photos from the scene, the Toyota literally flew under the cab of the truck.

The police organized a check on the accident. The circumstances are being established.

On October 8, on the 55th km of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Kholmsk highway, a Hino truck drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Toyota Hiace minibus. As a result of the collision, the minibus driver and his two passengers were killed.
