Applications for the International Industrial Development Olympiad PROD for schoolchildren are open.

Applications for the world's first International Industrial Engineering Olympiad for High School Students PROD have started. The competition will be held in Russian and English for the first time. The organizers are the Central University and the T-Technologies Group (the parent company of T-Bank) in partnership with the HSE Faculty of Computer Science.

This year, PROD will go beyond Russia and bring together participants from all over the world. "This is a big step for us and a unique opportunity for our students: we find the experience of working and interacting with other cultures very valuable," said Varvara Smirnova, Director of T—Education (T-Bank educational platform).

PROD is the world's first Olympiad for schoolchildren, where they can get acquainted with the real business tasks of large companies, the organizers noted. Participants will have the opportunity to explore software systems and business process automation, as well as develop their own applications and services.

Students in grades 8-11 from all over the world can apply for participation. Registration will last until December 2 on the Olympiad website. It is not necessary to have deep programming skills to participate, logic and knowledge of the basic computer science program are enough, the Central University explained.

The Olympiad will be held in several stages. The first one will take place on December 5-8, and participants will be tested on their knowledge of the basics of mathematics and programming. At the second qualifying stage, which will be held on January 15-25, students will be offered to solve a case. The winners of the PROD hackathons will also be invited to join this tour, one of which will be held on December 5-7 in Kazakhstan.

The competition will conclude with individual and team rounds. On March 18, the award ceremony will take place in Moscow. The winners of the Olympiad will receive a fast track for admission and a grant to study at the Central University, a discount on the joint bachelor's degree program of the Higher School of Economics and the Central University, additional points for the Unified State Exam and other bonuses and gifts.
