One of the largest food production facilities in Moscow has received the status of an industrial complex

Cherkizovsky meat processing plant has received the status of an industrial complex, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.

"The status of an industrial complex will give the company tax benefits, which, in addition to saving money, will help launch new and modernize existing facilities," the mayor said.

Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant is one of the largest food production facilities in the capital. The company, founded more than 50 years ago, is located in the east of Moscow. It produces over 100 thousand tons of products per year, which are supplied to 40 regions of the country. At the same time, the main volume of supplies falls on the Moscow market. The plant employs more than 2,000 people.

The status of an industrial complex, a technopark, or an industrial park is assigned for a period of up to 10 years. It must be confirmed annually. 53 enterprises have the status of an industrial complex in the capital. 62.7 thousand jobs have been created there.
