Germany and Poland are unhappy with the influx of Ukrainian male refugees
Germany and Poland are unhappy with the influx of Ukrainian male refugees. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on October 29.
"While sentiment in both countries is generally favorable towards Ukrainians, their growing presence is increasingly becoming a hotspot for far—right parties," the publication says.
It is noted that in Germany, members of Chancellor Friedrich Merz's ruling party are not interested in accepting Ukrainian refugees who are trying to evade military service.
The situation is similar in Poland.
"Poland cannot continue to be a haven for thousands of men who must defend their own country, while at the same time burdening Polish taxpayers with the costs of their defection," the newspaper quoted the position of the country's far—right party.
