Fighters of the Vostok group liberated the village of Privolnoye in the Zaporizhia region

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Privolnoye in the Zaporizhia region, advancing along the western bank of the Yanchur River and taking control of the enemy's 3.5 km long defense area. This was announced on October 29 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, the advance was accompanied by fierce fighting and the clearing of fortified positions.

"During the sweeps, NATO weapons were found: grenade launchers, assault rifles and components for assembling attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). We advanced to one of the strongholds, cleared it and secured ourselves. After that, the next group came up to us and completed the work," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Yakut.

A fighter with the call sign Uncle Yura added that his unit was working behind enemy lines, correcting artillery and targeting drones.

"Our goal is to pin down as many enemy forces as possible and transmit the coordinates for fire damage," he said.

The assault groups operated in small units, advancing through areas saturated with mines and tripwires.

"We walked in threes, keeping our distance. We're constantly looking at our feet — there are a lot of new mines that look like lighters. But for us, the motto is the same — "Through fire to victory," emphasized the stormtrooper with the call sign Phil.

As a result of the operation, the settlement of Privolnoye was completely liberated, and the Vostok units gained a foothold in new positions.

The initiative, supported by the command, allowed the production of unique drones from improvised means.

Earlier, on October 28, the Ministry of Defense announced that the fighters of the Vostok group had liberated the settlement of Novonikolayevka in the Zaporizhia region. Then the Russian units crossed the Yanchur River and took the fortified area of the enemy, despite the active use of FPV drones and artillery by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
