Laboratory monkeys carrying hepatitis C and Covid-19 escaped in the United States after a car accident. This was reported on October 28 by The Guardian newspaper.

"A group of potentially sick lab monkeys escaped after a car accident on a major highway in Mississippi...> Monkeys <... They were infected with several viruses, including hepatitis C and Covid-19, which poses a potential risk to human health," the publication said.

There is no precise information about the danger of these animals. The state department reports on the aggressive behavior of primates, as well as their danger. Meanwhile, a representative of the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center reported the opposite.

The publication later added that all but one of the monkeys had been found and "destroyed."

In August, it was reported that a lion had escaped from a private zoo near Prague. At the same time, the animal attacked the caretaker. Upon arriving at the scene, the police had to use their service weapons and neutralize the predator. The keeper, who was injured in the attack of the animal, was assisted.
