Szijjarto called the agreement between the United States and Russia a key condition for peace.

Reaching a comprehensive agreement between the United States and Russia is a key condition for establishing peace in Europe, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in an interview with the Belarusian First Information TV channel on October 28.

"I believe that US President Donald Trump is the only hope for peace. If European leaders had not undermined his efforts in the past, he could have already succeeded," Szijjarto said.

The minister also expressed the hope that Trump would show sufficient willpower to conclude an agreement, "despite the subversive efforts of the Europeans." He confirmed Hungary's readiness to become a platform for negotiations, emphasizing the country's experience and political will to promote the peace process.

Putin declared Russia's readiness to any pressure from the West and warned Kiev about the risks of escalation of the conflict.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Hungary's experience in the Soviet bloc showed the danger of dividing the world into political and ideological camps. According to Szijjarto, after the end of the cold war, global security remains in a vulnerable state, and joint solutions are necessary to maintain dialogue between countries.
