Guards Sergeant Igor Babenkov commanded the tank and was tasked with providing fire support to Russian units in the special military operation zone. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, October 29.

The crew got to work using the tank's ability to fire at a distance of up to 10 km to the target. The coordinates of enemy objects were received in the process from aerial reconnaissance calculations. Soon, the tank was returned fire by the gunners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but Babenkov's competent leadership made it possible to protect the combat vehicle and crew from attacks. As a result, it was possible to eliminate an enemy stronghold, a machine-gun crew and a significant part of the AFU personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the dedication of Guard sailor Yuri Goryansky, who carried out the task of ensuring stable communication between the command post and the assault groups.

As a result of the artillery shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the power cable was damaged. Because of this, communication with the assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces was disrupted. Goryansky, realizing the need to establish communication as soon as possible, will move to the site of the breakdown immediately, despite the ongoing artillery shelling. As a result, the connection was restored.
