More than 70% of all Russian animation is produced in Moscow

More than 70% of Russian animation is produced in Moscow, and in 2024, about 7 thousand minutes of content were created in the capital. This was announced on Wednesday, October 28, by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in the Max messenger.

He noted that a Moscow cluster of video games and animations will open in the city in the near future, which will allow creating projects of any complexity and increasing production, the Moscow City News agency notes.

According to the mayor, eight leading animation studios working on content for children and adults have already become residents of the cluster. Modern infrastructure will be created for them — motion capture and sound recording studios, as well as a cinema screening room. Educational and export support programs are also provided, writes NSN.
