Simonyan received a summons to the Ukrainian court

On October 28, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, ironically commented on the summons to the Kiev City court sent to her name.

"There is a surge of optimism in Kiev again. They are sending me a subpoena for October 30th," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Simonyan also called on the senders of the summons to "save paper."

RT's editor-in-chief accompanied her message with a photo of the summons, based on which the Ukrainian court summons Simonyan as a defendant under several articles of the country's criminal code. Among them are genocide, encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, as well as propaganda of war.
