Former Intel CEO announces creation of "Christian" AI
Former Intel CEO Patrick Gelsinger has become the head of the Gloo technology company, which aims to create artificial intelligence (AI) based on Christian principles. This was announced on October 28 by The Guardian newspaper.
"My life's mission is to work on technology that will improve the quality of life of every person on the planet and accelerate the coming of Christ," Gelsinger said.
According to the newspaper, Gloo is developing chatbots and AI tools to automate pastoral work and support religious organizations. The company has already attracted $110 million in investments and serves more than 140,000 religious leaders and non-profit organizations.
Gelsinger actively promotes Christian values in the technology industry. He compared the development of AI to the invention of the printing press and called on the church to actively participate in the formation of new technology.
Gloo positions itself as an ecumenical platform open to various faiths, including Catholics, Lutherans, and even secular organizations. In addition, Gelsinger hopes that his work will attract the attention of industry leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg, one of the founders of Meta Corporation (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
Earlier, on September 11, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama announced that artificial intelligence (AI) had been appointed to the post of Minister of State. A neural network named Diella will be responsible for public procurement. To support the AI Minister, a special unit will be created that will implement neural networks in other government agencies, ensuring transparency and honesty of tenders.
