Italy pointed out the impossibility of Ukraine's return to the borders of 2014

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said that Ukraine would not be able to regain its lost territories even with international support. His words were quoted on October 28 by the newspaper Sole24Ore.

"It now seems impossible to regain the territories lost in 2014 and after February 2022. Russia will never surrender them, and Ukraine will not have the strength to recapture them on its own, even with our help," Crosetto said.

Crosetto also commented on the possible cession of territories, noting that the Ukrainian authorities need to decide whether to cede territories or continue the conflict, which in the future may lead to more terrible consequences.
