The Avatr brand is part of the Changan Group. As previously reported, the cars of the latter, including Deepal hybrids, are planned to be put on the assembly line of the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Representatives of Chang'an Motors Rus declined to comment on Mityaeva's words.

It is still unknown which Avatr models can be localized in Russia. Currently, the brand's lineup in Russia is represented by one Avatr 11 electric crossover, which will be joined by the Avatr 12 fastback this year. Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei.

Earlier that day, at the CarXL conference, Hongqi Russia Executive Director Ivan Saveliev said that Hongqi is considering the possibility of manufacturing cars in Russia, which is the main task of the brand as part of its development in the Russian market in 2026.
