The Pentagon announced strikes on three drug cartel vessels in the Pacific Ocean.
The US military carried out three strikes on four vessels allegedly involved in drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific Ocean, as a result of which 14 people were eliminated. This was announced on October 28 by the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth.
"As a result of three strikes, 14 drug terrorists were eliminated, one person survived. All the strikes were carried out in international waters, and not a single American military was injured," Hegseth said on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
In relation to the survivor, the Southern Command of the US Navy immediately initiated standard search and rescue operation protocols, then the survivor was handed over to the Mexican authorities, the minister noted.
On the night of October 24, the United States attacked a ship allegedly belonging to drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea. According to Hegseth, there were six male drug terrorists on board the ship during the attack - all of them were killed.
