Red Wings denied information about the malfunction of two airliners

Red Wings Airline has denied information about the malfunction of two Boeing 777 aircraft. This was announced on October 28 in the Telegram channel of the airline.

Earlier, information was spread online about thousands of Russians allegedly stranded in Vietnam due to the breakdown of Red Wings aircraft.

"The airline denies information about the malfunction of two Boeing 777 airliners. During October, the airline replaced several components on this type of aircraft. We also conducted an additional technical inspection of the aircraft," the publication says.

It is noted that in this regard, the management of Red Wings decided to make a forced adjustment to the flight schedule, which the airline notified passengers about and organized a number of measures to cancel flights.

There are currently 412 Russian passengers in Vietnam, and their departure is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, at 22:00 (Moscow time). Representatives of the airline and tour operators are in close contact with passengers, the airline claims.

In turn, Artur Muradian, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) for International Tourism, said in an interview with Izvestia that RedWings is currently making "every effort" to eliminate the inconvenience of passengers.

"This is due to the safety of all flights, and it is not possible to quickly allocate a backup flight due to their limitations <...> There is a rather tight flight schedule and, apparently, the sides cannot be repaired quickly," he said.

Muradian recommended waiting for the aircraft to be repaired or replaced if safety is involved.

On August 25, 600 Russian tourists were stranded on the island of Hainan, located in southern China, due to the powerful typhoon Kajiki.
