The court arrested in absentia the accused of murder of the cameraman Sergey Politika

A court in Moscow has arrested in absentia Sergei Politika, a cameraman accused of murder. This was announced on October 28 by the Moscow prosecutor's office.

"Taking into account the position of the Perovsk interdistrict prosecutor's office, the court in absentia chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the defendant in the criminal case of the murder of Sergei Politika. The actions of the 33-year—old attacker are qualified under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder)," the Telegram channel of the Moscow Prosecutor's office said.

It is specified that on October 18, the accused, being near an apartment building on Stalevarov Street, came into conflict with a Politician unknown to him. During the quarrel, he stabbed the victim at least once, and then fled the scene.

The victim was admitted to the hospital, but despite the efforts of doctors, he died from his injuries.

On October 21, Izvestia published footage of the Politician's murder, which was caught on surveillance cameras. The footage shows how Sergei sprayed the attacker with a canister, who, in turn, attacked the director with a knife.
