In Chelyabinsk, bailiffs arrested several assets of the Makhoninsky association
Moscow bailiffs have begun executing the decision of the Sovetovsky District Court of Chelyabinsk to seize the assets of the Makhoninsky association. This was reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.
It is noted that several objects have already been arrested, including the Yurievsky Shopping Complex, the Fabric store, as well as the companies Armada, Nadezhda, Orgmedcorporation, Stroybusinessity, Antis, Medhimpro and others. Aqualand, the company that manages the Atlantis complex, as well as the accounts of Andrei Makhonin, a partner of the association, were also arrested.
At the same time, according to the security forces, the "Makhoninskys" kept in touch with Mikhail Yurevich, ex-governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, and Konstantin Strukov, former owner of the nationalized Yuzhuralzolota gold mining company, and also transferred the funds abroad.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and measures are being taken to further seize property and assets related to the case.
The day before, a source from Izvestia reported that the Sovetsky District Court of Chelyabinsk would consider the claim of the SOE for the seizure of property and other assets worth 2.5 billion rubles belonging to brothers Alexander and Andrei Makhonin, as well as persons affiliated with them. According to the source, the Makhoninskys own many retail outlets in Chelyabinsk, using controlled firms and trusted individuals.
At the same time, the SOE filed a lawsuit demanding that the Makhoninsky association be recognized as extremist. The defendants in the case are 16 people, including brothers Alexander and Andrey Makhonin, their relatives, acquaintances, as well as about seven companies.
