Russia and Myanmar have agreed on a visa-free regime
Russia and Myanmar have signed an agreement on the complete abolition of the visa regime for mutual travel of citizens. The document was signed on October 28 by Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Tan Swe on the sidelines of the International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk.
"The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Tan Swe, sign an agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirements for citizens of Russia and Myanmar," TASS quoted the text of the message.
According to the agreement, citizens of both countries will be able to stay in the territory of the partner state for up to 30 days without visas for tourist or business purposes. A plan of consultations between the foreign ministries for 2025-2027 was also signed.
Earlier, it became known that from September 15, China will introduce a visa-free regime for Russian citizens with a regular passport for up to 30 days. This was announced on September 2 by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun.
