The Moscow City Court upheld the verdict of actor Vadim Demchog's son William, convicted in a fraud case. Lawyer Vladimir Shelupakhin told Izvestia about this on October 28.
He clarified that the defense's appeal had been rejected. Shelupakhin added that William fully admitted his guilt and compensated the victim. According to the case file, the participants in the criminal scheme stole more than 1.8 million rubles from him.
On June 30, 20-year-old Demchog was sentenced to two years in a general regime penal colony. The court of first instance found him guilty of fraud as part of an organized group (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
