The Ministry of Sports will tell about the history of Sportloto at the exhibition

The Sports Museum, together with Stoloto, the largest distributor of All-Russian state lotteries, will hold a thematic exhibition dedicated to the history of the Sportloto lottery and its role in the development of domestic sports. The exhibition will run from October 28 to December 31 this year in the building of the Ministry of Sports of Russia.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 55th anniversary of Sportloto. Visitors will be able to learn how the Soviet lottery has been an important part of the country's sports and cultural life for decades. The funds raised during the sweepstakes were used to finance the construction of sports facilities and the preparation of national teams for the Olympic Games.

The exhibition is organized chronologically and is divided into two blocks: the Soviet and Russian periods. Visitors will be able to see artifacts of the Soviet era — lottery tickets, archival photographs, posters, uniforms of Soviet athletes. Thanks to such exhibits, guests will be able not only to get acquainted with the history of the most successful and popular lottery in the USSR, but also to see key sporting events.

"But his main victory is not in record winnings, but in the fact that sports facilities were built and Olympic champions were trained with the funds received from lottery deductions," Tuton said, stressing that the mission to support sports continues to be key for the Sportloto brand today.

Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sports. They are conducted under the supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto are a significant source of replenishment of the budgets of the Russian Federation in order to finance socially significant facilities and events.
