At a meeting between Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto in Minsk, Budapest confirmed its readiness to provide a platform for Russian-American contacts. This was announced on October 28 on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"On October 28, a meeting between <...> Lavrov and <...> Szijjarto took place on the sidelines of the III Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security," the statement said.
