The Moscow region was recognized as a leader in the production of confectionery products

The Moscow region has taken the first place in Russia in the production of confectionery products. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the agency, since the beginning of the year, regional enterprises have produced more than 383 thousand tons of confectionery. This is 28.6% of the total volume of this type of product in the Central Federal District and about 13% of the total Russian production.

The leading manufacturers of biscuits in the Moscow region are Polet Confectionery Company LLC, KDV Pavlovsky Posad CJSC and Kolomenskoye Pole LLC.

In mid-October, it was reported that another production and warehouse complex for the manufacture of packaging will be built in Podolsk. The project is scheduled to be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2030. The investor is the company "Polypak". The organization has already been granted permission to begin construction of the second stage of the facility. In total, three separate buildings will be built. The first one will be put into operation by the end of 2025, then the company will begin construction of the second one.
