Sakhalin experienced water supply disruptions due to a blackout

There have been disruptions to the water supply on Sakhalin due to the blackout. This was announced on October 28 by Svetlana Shvets, Mayor of the Aniva Municipal District of the Sakhalin Region.

"There is no power supply throughout the south of Sakhalin and the west coast due to the emergency situation. <...> The water supply is provided by generators, but the pressure is low, so interruptions are possible, especially on the upper floors," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to her, emergency crews are currently making rounds for local leaks.
