Poland intended to get involved in the conflict in Ukraine, but because of this it could suffer the most. This was announced on October 28 by Senator Alexei Pushkov.

"[Polish Prime Minister Donald] Tusk, who is constantly trying to draw other EU and NATO countries into conflict with Russia, does not seem to understand that Poland itself would become the inevitable victim of such a war. She is positioned in such a way that she cannot avoid it," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that the Polish authorities do not think about the consequences for their country, relying on the United States and other NATO member countries.

The senator also stressed that Poland's hostility towards Russia is a historical trait that often leads Poles to problems up to and including "national suicide."
