Robin Denholm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tesla, warned shareholders about the need to approve a compensation package for CEO Elon Musk worth almost $1 trillion. Otherwise, she says, he may leave the company. This was reported on October 27 by CNBC.

"Without Elon, Tesla could lose significant value, as our company may no longer be valued for what we strive to become," Denholm wrote in a letter to shareholders.

She emphasized that Musk is the key to the automaker's future, given the development of autopilot and the Optimus robot project.

The payment proposal must be approved by November 5, but has faced criticism. Institutional Shareholder Services, the largest proxy consulting firm, recommended voting against it because of the "astronomical" amount, and a group of trade unions and observers expressed concerns about Musk's political activism.

Earlier, on October 22, Musk said that he plans to create an army of Optimus robots and is concerned about the possibility of losing control of the project in the future. According to his idea, robots will free people from hard work and "turn around" the labor market.
