NASA has restricted access to information about the asteroid 2025 US6, which may be related to the fireball seen on the morning of October 27 over Moscow and the Moscow region. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Information about the trajectory and other characteristics of asteroid 2025 US6 has been removed from the NASA base of close approaches to Earth today. Prior to the reports of the car sightings in central Russia, this data was publicly available," the scientists noted.

According to calculations, a celestial body with a diameter of about two meters was supposed to pass at a distance of about 150 thousand kilometers from Earth on October 28.

"It is highly likely that the body can be considered in a possible connection with today's events in central Russia," the laboratory experts emphasized.

Earlier in the day, the IKI RAS said that a space object spotted over Moscow could be an asteroid. Its glow was observed by residents of a number of cities in the Moscow region, including Dubna, Zhukovsky, Lyubertsy and Krasnogorsk. The speed of movement ranged from 14 to 30 km/s, which is typical for asteroids, but the intense destruction of the body may indicate the artificial origin of the object.
