Junior Sergeant Kurmanaliev led a wounded comrade out from under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Guard Senior Sergeant Maxim Novoselov commanded a team of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators in the Special Military operation zone (SVO) when he received the task of scouting the area. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exploits of Russian servicemen on Tuesday, October 28.

Thanks to electronic intelligence, competent work with routes and timely interaction with gunners, Novosyolov's calculation successfully detected and destroyed camouflaged equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Several enemy artillery guns and drone control points were also eliminated.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courageous and selfless actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Arkady Kurmanaliev, who served as part of the assault group, which was tasked with taking control of the AFU stronghold.

During the clash, one of Kurmanaliev's comrades was injured and had to be urgently evacuated. Despite the ongoing mortar fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the soldier reached the wounded man and took him out of the affected area, after which he ensured his further transportation to a safe place. Kurmanaliev then returned to his position and provided fire support to the Russian attack aircraft.

"We realized that we can beat the enemy"

The Hero of Russia spoke about the combat path of his unit, which was completed without losses.

Earlier, on October 20, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Corporal Andrei Kastarakov destroyed a drone and a stronghold with the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the SVO zone. It is clarified that when the AFU FPV drone was detected, the corporal gave the command to find shelter for the personnel of the Russian Army (RF Armed Forces). Instantly taking up a position, Kastarakov destroyed the enemy drone with a hunting rifle.
