Another patient of the surgeon Yelagin, accused of murdering the producer, has died.

Another patient of surgeon Ilya Yelagin, who is accused of the death of producer Peter Gavrilov, has died. This was announced on October 27 by a source of Izvestia.

It is noted that the patient underwent surgery at the Fomin Clinic medical Center in Moscow.

According to the source, the doctor Ilya Yelagin is on his own recognizance.

In May, Vladimir Slashchev, a representative of the IQ Plastique clinic, told Izvestia that two of its detained employees had been charged under Part 2 of Article 238 ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in death") after a patient died there. The defendants in the criminal case were 45-year-old head of the surgical department Elagin and 28-year-old surgeon of the clinic Kazaev.

In the same month, the court placed both defendants under house arrest for two months. According to the investigation, the doctors who operated on the deceased, intentionally, in order to reduce the volume of their work and make a profit, treated the patient indifferently when providing care, as a result of which he died. It is noted that Yelagin and Kazaev did not want this, but they understood the danger of their inaction.

Prior to that, on April 15, the capital's central committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation clarified that the deceased was a 36-year-old man. The day after the operation, he felt his health deteriorate and went back to the clinic, where he underwent repeated surgery. Then the man got worse, and he was transferred to another medical facility. There, the victim fell into a coma and died.

On April 24, the Moscow Arbitration Court, at the request of Roszdravnadzor, suspended the work of the IQ Plastique clinic for 90 days. Then the institution was brought to administrative responsibility for "carrying out business activities in gross violation of the requirements and conditions provided for by a special permit (license)."
