During a raid in one of the capital's hostels, law enforcement agencies detained over 370 migrants. This was announced on October 27 by the Rosgvardiya press service.

"Avangard riot police officers of the Main Directorate for the City of Moscow provided forceful support to colleagues from the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia during an operation to monitor compliance with migration legislation in one of the capital's hostels," the Telegram channel said.

As a result of the operational measures, over 370 foreign citizens were detained, who were subsequently taken to the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to establish the circumstances of violations of migration legislation while staying in the territory of the warehouse and production facilities of the municipality.

Earlier, on October 13, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced that the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) had expelled about 35,000 foreign citizens from Russia who violated migration laws in 2025. He also cited data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to which, as of September 1, 770 thousand migrants were listed in the register of controlled persons, one third of whom are women and children.

Prior to that, on October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was interested in foreign labor, but it should be law-abiding citizens. The Russian leader noted that there are many problems in the field of migration, and Russian citizens themselves point this out. In addition, he stressed that migrants must comply with the law and the rules of Russia.
