Gorky Automobile Plant has made Gazon trucks safer
Medium-tonnage Gazon Next trucks have begun to be equipped with an exchange stability control (ESC) system. Earlier this year, it was introduced on Gazelle NN, Gazelle Next and Sobol NN light commercial vehicles. This is stated in the message of the Modern Transport Technologies company (gas distributor), which was received by Izvestia on October 27.
The ESC system helps to prevent the car from skidding on slippery roads. Previously, the standard equipment of the Gazon Next already included an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with an electronic braking force distribution system.
The functionality of the electronic assistants has also been expanded with a lifting assistance system (HSA) and an anti-slip system (ASR). The latter, among other things, performs the function of electronically simulating the differential lock, making it easier for the car to start on icy or dirty roads.
The Lawn Next is available with three wheelbase options (from 3770 to 5150 mm) with a load capacity from 4.6 t to 5.6 t and a gross weight of 8.7 t or 10 t. The cars are equipped with YaMZ engines, 5- or 6-speed manual transmissions, spring-loaded or pneumatic rear suspension. The cabin is available in three- or seven-seat versions.
Earlier, on October 7, a new version of the popular low-tonnage off-road vehicle "Sable NN 4x4" was presented at the International Gas Forum in St. Petersburg. The car is equipped with a bi-fuel engine that can run on gasoline or compressed natural gas.
Prior to that, on September 24, it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod had localized the production of turbodiesel engines for GAZ —Sobol, Gazelle and Valdai commercial vehicles. These models have been equipped with such a motor since 2023, but before that the units were manufactured in China.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
