The Petrozavodsk City Court sentenced a resident of Karelia to 11 years in prison for the murder of two people, including for hire. This was announced on October 27 by the Joint Press Service of the Courts of the Republic.
According to the prosecution, the 55-year-old man killed his friend in 1998 using a knife and a stone, and later hid the body. The reason for the murder was personal animosity.
In April 2004, in Petrozavodsk, he shot a local resident with an automatic pistol, after which he received a monetary reward of $ 7 thousand.
"By the verdict of the court, a resident of the republic was found guilty of committing the specified crime, he was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 9 years and 3 months. On the basis of Part 5 of Article 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, finally in the form of imprisonment for a term of 11 years and 9 months with serving a sentence in a high—security penal colony," the Telegram channel post says.

In August 2008, a criminal and his accomplice killed a local resident on a plot of land in the village of Chkalovo in the Lyuberetsky district of the Moscow region. They hid the body. As a result of the police's actions, only one suspect was found, his accomplice died in 2013.
