A fifth suspect has been detained in the case of the abduction of Zenit football player Andrei Mostovoy and the son-in-law of State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Makarov. A source told Izvestia about this on October 27.

It is specified that the fifth detainee's name is Daniel. Before that, four defendants were detained: Samir P., Stepan M., Rustam H. and Vladislav Ya.

The source also said that a new witness had appeared in the case.

Earlier in the day, a source from Izvestia reported an attempted abduction of football player Mostovoy. It was noted that a group of unknown people attacked the athlete. As a result, the young man managed to fight off the kidnappers. Shortly after, four suspects were detained in St. Petersburg. A criminal case was also opened into the incident under Articles 126 ("Kidnapping") and 162 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Four suspects showed correspondence with the customer Slava the Satanist. It was noted that the defendants corresponded with the supervisor of the abduction in the Telegram messenger.
