The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow has sentenced Alexey Bashin, a follower of blogger and pickup coach Alex Leslie (real name Alexander Kirillov), to 1.5 years in a general regime penal colony. This was reported on October 27 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

Bashin was arrested on June 28. As specified in the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, his involvement in the commission of illegal acts was confirmed by the testimony of the injured girl, witnesses and other materials.

At the end of June, media reports appeared that several girls had contacted law enforcement agencies with allegations of harassment from unknown people in the center of the capital. It was noted that the mentor of these men was the author of Leslie's seduction courses. In his messages, he urged followers to make obscene offers to unknown women and commit illegal sexual acts.

On August 26, the court remanded Leslie in custody in absentia. The blogger is charged with inciting to rape (part 4 of art. 33 and part 1 of Art. 131 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Criminal cases have also been initiated against a number of his followers for committing violent acts of a sexual nature (Part 1 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to law enforcement agencies, Kirillov is currently outside Russia and is on the federal wanted list. The defendant himself told Izvestia that he was in Spain, but he did not rule out that he would leave this country soon.

Also in Moscow on June 27, a follower of Leslie from the Tula region was detained, who, on the advice of a blogger, took part in the filming of scandalous videos.
