Zenit football player Mostovoy was abducted in St. Petersburg.
In St. Petersburg, they tried to kidnap Zenit football player Andrei Mostovoy and took away the son-in-law of State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Makarov. This was announced on October 27 by a source of Izvestia.
It is noted that a group of unknown people attacked Andrei Mostovoy. They grabbed the athlete by the arms and tried to put him in the car. The young man was able to fight off the kidnappers, he was helped by a man who was nearby and intervened in the crime.
At the same time, two days later, unknown persons abducted the son-in-law of a State Duma deputy at the same place. The crime followed the same scenario, but now the attackers managed to force the man into the car.
After the successful abduction, the criminals began to extort money, threatening violence. They managed to take away the man's mobile phone, and they also set conditions — the deputy's son-in-law must pay 10 million rubles for his life and health.
The man could not pay the full amount, having only 2.5 million — he promised to transfer the rest through his wife.
Criminal cases have been initiated into the two incidents under several articles. Investigators of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia have detained suspects in kidnapping and robbery.
