Argentina's ruling Freedom Is Coming party has won the parliamentary elections with over 40% of the vote. This was reported on October 27 by the Todo Noticias (TN) TV channel.

"The government won in PBA, CABA, Cordoba, Santa Fe and Mendoza and won more than 40% of the votes nationwide," the publication says.

It is noted that the voter turnout has become a record low by historical standards — almost 68% of people did not come to vote.

"Congratulations to [Argentine] President Javier Miley on his convincing victory in Argentina. He's doing a wonderful job! Our trust in him was justified by the people of Argentina," US President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social page.

Miley arrived at the White House on October 14 for talks with Trump. It was noted that the leaders discussed an agreement on a $20 billion US aid package, which could be a political help for Miley, who hopes to prevent a financial crisis and a political catastrophe for his party.
