Calculations of the Molniya-2 UAV destroyed an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region

The calculations of the unmanned aircraft of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne unit (Airborne) destroyed hidden control points, equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnieper. This was announced on October 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

After receiving intelligence data on the activities of Ukrainian troops on the right bank of the Dnieper River, the Airborne Forces unit deployed Lightning-2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The purpose of the operation was to destroy camouflaged command posts from which artillery fire and drone attacks on Kherson and Russian positions were adjusted.

The paratroopers, being in a pre-prepared and well-camouflaged position, quickly prepared the Molniya-2 unmanned complex for departure. Featuring high speed, long range and a powerful warhead, this drone is ideal for precision strikes against fortified targets behind enemy lines. Thanks to modern software, the Molniya-2 ensured stable targeting. As a result of precise strikes, enemy observation posts in the area of the railway bridge over the Dnieper River were destroyed.

The new vehicles have become an effective alternative to armored vehicles and civilian vehicles.

On October 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the Mi-28NM helicopter destroyed the temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian Armed Forces UAV unit. It was clarified that during the operation, the crew successfully hit the target using a light multipurpose guided missile (LMUR) and aircraft missiles.
