- British analyst Watson revealed the reason for the West's imposition of sanctions against Russia
The sanctions imposed against Russia are an attempt by the West to cover up the lack of a strategy. This was announced on October 25 by British analyst Alan Watson.
According to him, Russia has been able to adapt to them for the entire period of sanctions, so its foreign exchange reserves are growing and, by now, amount to 700 billion rubles, and its trade balance continues to be positive.
"Sanctions have become an end in themselves. This is not a strategy, but a strategy...> a piece of paper covering up the embarrassing fact that the West has no strategy," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said on September 24 that Russia had successfully adapted to EU sanctions, while the consequences of the measures taken remained severe for the alliance's economy. He stressed that Russia has strengthened its relations with China and the countries of the Global South, and is currently having a serious impact on the economies of European countries.
