On October 26, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the creation of two landscaped embankments in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain. The project is being implemented in three stages on an area of 19 hectares.

In the west, the embankment will run from Nizhny Mnevniki, 37a, to the beach near the Krylatsky Bridge. There will be walking paths, observation decks and playgrounds, a sports pier, two amphitheaters and art objects. The area will be connected to Krylatsky by a pedestrian bridge, writes RIAMO.

The eastern part will stretch from the intersection of Nizhni Mnevniki with the Projected passage No. 1166 to the "sail bridge" near Novozavodskaya Street. The territory is equipped with walking areas, a pier, playgrounds and recreation areas. The mayor stressed that the new embankments will become a popular destination for residents and guests of the capital, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

In September, Sobyanin noted that the bridge under construction between Mnevnikovskaya floodplain and Krylatsky would connect Ostrovnaya Street with the Projected Passage No. 1074 and Nizhny Mnevniki, providing a convenient pedestrian route to the Rowing Canal. The structure will have arches, similar to wings, and red decorative elements. The construction is planned to be completed in 2027, writes NSN.

In March, it became known that a new Moscow circus would be built in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain. The new circus will be a contribution to the development of urban infrastructure and a new point of attraction. 360.ru .
