The assembly of a new modification of the Moscow-2026 wagons has begun. The first train is planned to be assembled by the end of 2025, at the same time it will be tested in the Moscow metro. This was reported on the website of the Moscow City Hall on October 26.

Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, noted that the metro transports over 8 million passengers per day, and updating rolling stock remains a priority. By 2030, the share of new trains should reach 90%. By the end of 2026, it is planned to completely upgrade the Zamoskvoretskaya Line fleet, delivering more than 700 Moscow-2026 wagons, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

The new series will retain wide doors, increased capacity, transitions between cars, modern air conditioning systems and charging connectors. Plastic in the interior, glass handrails and lighting of the head cars will also be updated, the website writes. kp.ru .
