A man was injured as a result of an explosion of a gas cylinder recorded in one of the garages of the Sovetsky district of Voronezh. This was reported on October 27 in the Regional Investigation Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"As a result of the pop of a gas cylinder in the garage of GSK (garage building cooperative. — Ed.), located in the Sovetsky district of Voronezh, a 24-year-old man was injured," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that the incident occurred the night before. The injured victim was hospitalized.

In addition, employees of the district investigation Department, as well as representatives of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Voronezh Region, were sent to the scene to establish the circumstances of the incident.

A criminal case in accordance with Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two persons") was initiated on October 12 following the deaths of two people in an explosion in the garage of a private house in Volgograd. According to preliminary data, the incident occurred due to the detonation of an ammunition, probably discovered during illegal search operations, which the victims dismantled for the purpose of subsequent delivery to the scrap metal collection point.
