The Ukrainian conflict can end either with Russia's victory or through diplomatic means. This was announced on October 26 by former French Ambassador to Washington Gerard Haro.

"I know only two ways to end the conflict: a complete and crushing victory for one of the warring parties or negotiations," he told the newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD).
