The US government shutdown may last until the end of November. This opinion was expressed by Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna on October 26.

"We could potentially not be back even by Thanksgiving [November 27] or even longer," Luna said in an interview with Fox News.

The head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent, in turn, in an interview with CBS News, admitted that the US Army military may stop paying salaries after November 15 if the shutdown continues in the country.

"I think we will be able to pay their salaries in early November, but by November 15, our soldiers and military personnel who are willing to risk their lives will not be able to receive salaries," Bessent stressed.

The shutdown was introduced in the United States on October 1 due to the fact that the draft budget was not agreed upon by the senators. The Washington Post reported on October 10 that the administration of the American president has already begun to dismiss federal employees representing trade, finance, health and human services, education and homeland security.

Later, on October 24, the Pentagon received an anonymous donation of $130 million, which is intended to pay salaries to military personnel during the ongoing shutdown in the United States. It was noted that the amount would cover only a small part of the cost of the salary fund — on average about $ 100 (about 8 thousand rubles) for each of the 1.3 million military personnel.
