Russian Foreign Ministry urges to stop incitement of hatred in Europe
Today, the task of the Russian Foreign Ministry is to prevent a global war due to the "madness" of the European Union (EU) countries. This was announced on October 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at the International Cooperation Forum.
"Our [diplomatic] task today, all together, is to make sure that a global war does not start. Look at what's happening in Europe. Look at how crazy the countries of the European Union are getting. Look at what they're doing. They incite hatred in people's hearts," she said.
According to Zakharova, diplomacy should create "bridges of friendship" and transfer them to other countries. She believes that this process has a specific purpose and objective.
On October 24, the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, announced the need to increase pressure on Russia to force the country to negotiate a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Von der Leyen stressed that coordinated anti-Russian sanctions allegedly play a "key role" in putting pressure on Moscow.
Prior to that, the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, announced that the EU had adopted the 19th package of sanctions against Russia. She noted that the restrictions are aimed, in particular, at Russian banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, organizations in India and China. At the same time, the European Union will restrict the movement of Russian diplomats.
