Serbia is ready to hold talks between Russia and Ukraine on the settlement of the conflict between the two countries. This was announced on October 26 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Marko Djuric.

"Serbia is also among the countries that offer their services, given our history, given the fact that we are friends with all the parties involved, and if necessary or there is interest, we try to hold any negotiations <...> on how to put an end to this terrible tragedy that has led to so many victims and destruction," he said in an interview with Fox News.

According to the Minister, the conflict must be stopped immediately. He noted that the country supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states in accordance with their borders.

The publication notes that Juric's proposal came after the postponement of the summit, which was to be held in Hungary between the presidents of the United States and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

On October 24, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed his country as a venue for a possible summit between Russia and the United States. In addition, the Turkish president stressed that any dialogue is useful for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
