Gerasimov announced the encirclement of the AFU group in the area of Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov

The Center group is tasked with destroying the encircled group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the cities of Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov said in a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 26.

"The forces of the West surrounded Kupyansk, captured the Oskol River crossing and blocked the AFU grouping," he said.
